Given the fact that we had the Euros this Summer, you might still be enjoying a few weeks away from football but we’re getting the Last Man Standing competition set up again for the 2024/25 season!
Gameweek 1 (16th – 19th Aug)
If you’re keen, please invite friends and family to play. If you are introducing someone, then please let us know so that a finder’s fee can be passed on to you in the event that they win.
The more people that enter, the bigger the prize pool will be. As per last year, the pot will be split with 50% to the winner and 50% towards Club fundraising. Where applicable, the Club will also pay £30 finder’s fee. If non-Club players re-enter for this season, then whomever referred them last year will still get the finder’s fee. If non-Club members get others to enter, then they get a finder’s fee too (we want to encourage as many people to play as possible – bigger prize pool and better for fundraising).
The rules are pretty simple – see below;
1. Look at the fixtures in a particular Gameweek and pick a team that you think will win
2. You need to provide the selection no later than 6pm of the day preceding the first match in that Game week (so for GW1, it will be 6pm on Thursday 15th August)
3. If your selected team wins, you progress to the next week (a draw or a loss and you are out).
4. You are not allowed to choose a team that you have previously picked.
5. When we are down to an outright winner, they take the pot (we have seen previously where the last two agree to split the winnings, and that is fine too!)
6. Cost is £10 (50% of which is a donation to the club). Details of how to pay are in booking form.
Please get entries in as soon as you’re able as cut off for registration is 6pm on Thursday, 15th August.
Thanks to everyone who supported us last season – the final pot was £750 in winnings and finder’s fees. The more people that enter, the bigger that the potential pot will be so feel free to invite friends and family to join n the fun!
