Cooke won the toss and decided to bat.
Very tight opening bowling by Aayush Bhari (2-15) and John Neil (0-13) put early pressure on the batters. Ben Bingham on debut was superb with 3-31 off 5 overs. Alfie Kennedy (2-31), Alfie Bingham ( 2-34 ) and Jude Fisher (0-23) also contributed well and Cooke were eventually bowled out for 157.
In reply CSNI made a solid start with Tate making a fluid 24. A mini collapse meant Alfie Kennedy coming in to bat at 7 in only the 12th over.
There was a 40 year age difference between Walsh and Kennedy but they batted for 13 overs together and made a 50 partnership.
Well done to Alfie Kennedy for facing 36 balls for his 5 runs and carrying his bat.
The 5s finished on 119-5 and despite falling short, there was pride in the performance with a team that featured 4 x U15 players.
