CSNI lost the toss and were asked to bowl by CACC on a particularly warm day at Stormont.
The skipper had a strong bowling attack at his disposal which was backed up by an equally impressive fielding performance. Chris Elliott took 4-12 including a very impressive stumping from Marko Bates and a one-handed catch from Jemma Gillan. Matthew Kennedy also bowled well, returning 3-27. CACC was limited to 79, having been bowled out during the 30th over.
The CACC bowlers were disciplined from the outset, with Montgomery taking the wickets of the Lutton brothers early on. Thompson and Kokate found the going slow but were patient and punished the bad balls with boundaries. This partnership leading the team to an 8 wicket win in the 19th over with 24 and 30 not out respectively.
This result leaves the team with 2 wins from 2 so far in the league.
