New Signing Alert – Jordan Neill

CSNI are proud to announce the signing of Jordan Neill ahead of the 2024 season!

A South-African born opening batsman, Jordan is a member of the Irish U19 squad. There is no doubt that he will add great batting depth to the 1XI squad for 2024.

Stuart Thompson, CSNI Director of Cricket commented;

“Delighted to add Jordan Neill to our squad here at CSNI. He’s an exciting player and will strengthen our team in all departments, he’s already played with a number of players in our squad with his Irish U19 involvement so he no doubt will settle in quickly. Like all our younger players we hope to provide them with the opportunities to make the next stage in their development.”

Most recently playing for league winning side Rondebosch CC in South Africa, Jordan showed his class with the following stats:

Whilst wearing the green jersey, Jordan has also impressed with some very noteable innings, with 111 from 83 v MCC and 77 from 99 v England U19s

Head of Cricket Operations at CSNI, Andrew Cowden, commented on Jordan’s arrival at Stormont.

“I’m delighted to welcome Jordan to CSNI and it is great to have another very talented young player in our squad. I look forward to seeing Jordan developing his game and performing at Stormont along with assisting on coaching within our youth programme. I wish Jordan every success this season.”

Ryan Hunter who opened with Jordan on the Ireland U19 side gave us his thoughts on the signing.

“Jordan is a very exciting signing, who will be a great addition to our already young team and will hopefully find it easy to settle and enjoy life at CSNI. He is a dominant top order batsman who likes to put pressure on bowlers early on and will also provide another bowling option with his off spin. Having opened with him for the Ireland U19 side last summer and then at the World Cup, we have a good understanding of each other’s game. Hopefully there will be some big partnerships between us this summer.”

Jordan also bowls some very handy off-spin, will be a great resource to have in the 1XI, alongside fellow spinners Harry Dyer and James West. Notably, Jordan took 3-42 v Warwickshire last summer!

Welcome to CSNI Jordan!
