New Signing Alert – James Kennedy

CSNI are delighted to announce the signing and return of James Kennedy to the club for the 2024 season!

A destructive opening batsman, James is no stranger to Stormont, enjoying a previous spell between 2017-2020, with two of those as CSNI 1XI captain, before returning to his childhood club Ballymena.
JK returns to the club, after scoring a phenomenal amount of runs and winning NCU Section 1 player of the year last season. James scored 714 runs @79.33, with an astonishing top score of 201* from 161 balls vs Armagh; An innings made up of 14 x 6’s!

Andrew Cowden gave us his thoughts on the signing.

“I’m delighted to welcome James back to Stormont following a successful three seasons playing with his hometown club Ballymena. James spent four seasons (2017-2020) with CSNI previously, signing from Ballymena and was a great asset to the club both on and off the field. He captained the club for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. This is a very important signing for our club as James will add significant knowledge, leadership and experience to primarily our 2nd XI. He will  assist with the development of our younger players playing in the 2nd XI to prepare them for 1st XI cricket in the future. It will also be great to see James enjoying playing with family members who are already playing at CSNI.”

Welcome back to CSNI JK!
