Super Six benefit from Club bursaries

Super Six benefit from Club bursaries

22 Mar 2018

Six members of our Club have each received £150 bursary from the Club as recognition for their continued development.

Aaron Wright, Matthew Foster, Archie Johnston, Abbi Leckey, Harry Dyer and Ryan Hunter all recently received their bursary.

Aaron, Matthew and Archie are all currently on tour in South Africa with the Andrew White NCU Cricket Academy whilst Abbi has been selected to attend the NCU Ladies Academy.

Harry Dyer and Ryan Hunter have been selected for the Ireland Under 13’s Panel.

Following the announcement, Club Chairman, Ivan McMinn, said: “Our Club has a long term strategy of investing in our youth and these bursaries are a way for the Club to recognise the achievements of the six recipients. This will go some way to helping each recipient with their equipment needs and I am delighted that the Club can award six bursaries this year.

This year we have over 20 of our younger members involved across a range NCU squads from Under 9’s right up to the Andrew White Academy and this could only be achieved through the hard work of the players, coaches and volunteers within our Club. This is a fantastic achievement by everyone involved and I will be closely watching their progress.”
