CSNICC sign Morgan Topping

Civil Service North of Ireland Cricket Club (CSNI) have signed Morgan Topping from Waringstown Cricket Club.

All-rounder Morgan has recently returned from New Zealand where he represented Ireland at the Under 19’s Cricket World Cup.

Following the announcement, Morgan said: “I’m delighted to have joined CSNI. I’m looking forward to playing regular first team cricket and getting to know everyone at Stormont. I will aiming to help the team challenge for silverware this year and to grow and develop as a first team regular.”

Morgan is CSNI’s second signing of the close season after the Club announced Andre Malan as the new Club Professional a few weeks ago.

Club Chairman, Ivan McMinn, said: “Morgan is an excellent young cricketer and will further add to the strength and depth of our 1st XI team. He has shown his excellent potential and I look forward to seeing Morgan perform for CSNI. Morgan is a fine example to our younger players who can learn a lot from him. I wish Morgan lots of success at Stormont.”

Tim Simmonite, Director of Cricket at CSNICC said: “Morgan’s signing is an excellent one for the club. His pedigree as a player is undoubted - as a member of the Northern Knights set-up as well as being an Ireland Under 19 International - and I look forward to him becoming part of our squad and contributing to our planned successes.”

CSNI start their season with a home fixture against Instonians on the 28th April.
